A MYSTERY AND MORE

Kate Milford’s new book Greenglass House is a mystery, a ghost story, a holiday story, a survival story, and a family story. Milo and his adopted parents the Pines run an inn which used to belong to a smuggler. In fact smugglers still come to the House between trips. Now it is Christmastime and Milo is looking forward to a relaxing holiday with just his parents. But as an icy snow storm starts, the guest bell rings and within a day the inn is nearly full of odd, secretive guests who have some connection to the House. Several days of blizzard conditions traps everyone in the House. Milo and Meddy, the cook’s daughter, try to decipher clues, locate missing items, and solve the mystery of Greehglass House.

NEW FROM PATRICK CARMAN

This popular author of such series as Skeleton Creek, Trackers, and Floors, has started a new series called the Pulse Trilogy for older Young Adult readers. In the first book Pulse, Carman has created a world in 2051 where most Americans lived in one of two gigantic states that still have modern technology. However a few people strive to live outside these states like Faith Daniels and her friends. Faith is at a new school where twins Wade and Clara Quinn rule. With the help of new friends Dylan and Hawk, Faith learns that she has a telekinetic ability called “pulse.” But so do Wade and Clara! Can Faith learn to control her ability and join forces with Dylan to save the world?

CURL UP WITH A NEW BOOK

In December we added a number of new books to the IMC collection. Here’s a sampling of those new books:
 
365 Days of Wonder by R.J. Palacio – A  day-by-day collection of sayings by Auggie’s (the main character in Wonder) teacher Mr. Brown.

Super by Matthew Cody – The sequel to Powerless where the super-powered kids are again threatened with losing their powers.


The Darkest Path by Jeff Hirsch – A dystopian novel set in a future when the United States is torn into two countries where Cal tries to protect his younger brother from the horrors of a militant society.
 
In the After (followed by In the End) by Demitria Lunetta - In a post-apocalyptic world Amy and Baby, a child she found while scavenging, struggle to survive while vicious, predatory monsters roam the Earth.


 
We also have added new installments in several series like Dragon Spear by Jessica Day George, The White House by Roland Smith, Feeding Frenzy by Michael P.
